A routine traffic stop in Bell Gardens revealed illegal narcotics and a loaded semiautomatic weapon inside a vehicle as well four other handguns and even larger quantity of drugs at the suspect’s home, authorities said Saturday.
Officers also recovered an SKS rifle, high-capacity magazines and assorted U.S. currency during the search warrant at the 26-year-old motorist’s home in the 5400 block of Fishburn Avenue in Maywood, according to Sgt. John Acosta of the Bell Gardens Police Department.
The arrest occurred on March 4, and the unidentified Maywood resident was charged with several narcotics and weapons violations, Acosta said.
Police did not disclose the time or location of the traffic stop.
