A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday evening in a crash with an SUV on the eastbound Ventura Freeway in Encino.
The motorcyclist was trapped fully beneath the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash occurred around 7:55 p.m. near the Haskell Avenue off-ramp, Stewart said.
The motorcyclist’s name was not released.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
