A man was killed in a car-to-car shooting Thursday in Irvine.
The shooting occurred about 12:30 p.m. at Athel Avenue and Sego Street, Irvine Police Department Sgt. Karie Davies said. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Davies said.
Two vehicles fled the area — a black Mercedes-Benz and a white Honda, possibly a Civic or Accord, according to Davies.
Police were searching the area for surveillance video, Davies said.
