Sheriff’s officials reached out to the public Wednesday for help identifying a man who stole a pair of electric scooters from a Westlake Village Target store.
According to the sheriff’s department, the suspect entered a Target store in the 30700 block of Russell Ranch Road around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and walked to the electronics aisle.
The man picked up two electric scooters then left the store through an emergency door without paying for the items, sheriff’s officials said. He then got into a black SUV driven by another unknown male suspect, and the pair drove away.
The stolen scooters had a total estimated cost of about $755, according to the sheriff’s department.
Sheriff’s officials released surveillance photos of the man and the black SUV in hopes of generating tips from the public.
