A man was shot to death early Monday morning in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area of South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 12:08 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Florence Avenue near Compton Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were summoned to conduct a crime scene investigation, officials said.
