A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in Pico Rivera, authorities said Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at approximately 9:50 p.m. Thursday to the 9300 block Slauson Avenue, between Rosemead and Passons boulevards, where they found Alfredo Canelo lying on the sidewalk near a bus stop, according to homicide Lt. Daniel Vizcarra and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Canelo was pronounced dead at the scene, the Department of Medical Examiner reported.
