An oil spill of approximately 500 gallons in North Hollywood closed two major intersections as Los Angeles Fire Department personnel scrambled to keep the sill from reaching storm drains in the early morning hours.
Fire crews and Hazmat personnel responded to 4701 Lankershim Blvd around 10 p.m. Wednesday and attempted to limit the spill to from spreading, said LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange.
No injuries were reported.
