Two burglary suspects are in custody Wednesday and at least two others are on the loose following a pursuit that began in Beverly Hills and ended near Willowbrook.
Officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department responded around 3 a.m. to a break-in at a pharmacy on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills where they saw a group of masked suspects wearing hoodies exiting the pharmacy and getting into a white van, NBC 4 reported.
The officers attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects resisted, triggering a high-speed pursuit that traversed through downtown and South Los Angeles near Wilmington Avenue and Imperial Highway near the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, where Los Angeles Police officers took over the chase.
The suspects abandoned the van near Wilmington and ran into a nearby building. LAPD officers set up a perimeter and captured two of the men, according to NBC 4.
It was not immediately known if the suspects stole any merchandise from the pharmacy.
