A motorist’s moving vehicle was struck by gunfire while in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
The motorist was driving in the 00 block of West 49th Street, south of Del Amo Boulevard, when he heard presumed gunfire and noticed that his vehicle had been struck, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Officers dispatched to the scene at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday located strike marks and evidence indicating that a shooting had occurred.
No injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene prior to arrival of police.
