A La Habra police pursuit of an SUV reported stolen ended in Placentia where the vehicle crashed head-on into a patrol SUV from that city, authorities said Monday.
The pursuit began about 11 p.m. Sunday near the La Habra-Fullerton border, according to a news videographer briefed by Placentia police Lt. T. McKenzie at the scene.
La Habra officers ran the license plate and learned the vehicle was stolen, police said.
The driver failed to yield and a high-speed pursuit began on Kraemer Boulevard through Fullerton into Placentia where the SUV crashed head-on into a Placentia Police Department Ford Explorer at Kraemer Boulevard and Madison Avenue, police said.
The suspect was taken to a trauma center for treatment and the officers in the Explorer were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, police said. The conditions of the injured were not immediately available.
