A man was wounded during an assault in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers dispatched at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday to the 400 block of Shoreline Drive, regarding a possible stabbing, located the man who had a non-life-threatening wound to his upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“The victim was involved in a verbal dispute when a male adult suspect swung an unknown object toward him,” according to a police statement. “The suspect fled the scene on foot.”
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital. The investigation was ongoing.
