A motorcyclist killed when he apparently lost control and crashed at a Lake Elsinore intersection was identified Wednesday as a 30-year-old resident of the city.

Ryan Spandrio was fatally injured at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Railroad Canyon Road and Church Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Brad Foster said Spandrio was traveling at an unconfirmed speed when his bike went out of control and slammed into unspecified objects along Railroad Canyon, ejecting the victim onto the pavement.

Paramedics and patrol deputies reached the location within a few minutes, at which point the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There were no other vehicles involved in the collision, and drugs and alcohol were not deemed to be factors,” Foster said.

The intersection was partially closed while a preliminary investigation was conducted.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the sheriff’s Lake Elsinore station at 951-245-3000.
