A woman suspected in a Hollywood hit-and-run led police on a slow-speed pursuit Friday that ended in a standoff outside a home in Studio City.
The incident began with a 9:30 a.m. report of a hit-and-run at Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Kevin Terzes told City News Service.
The pursuit wound over canyon roads to Coldwater Canyon, where spike strips flattened the truck’s two front tires and it eventually came to a stop in front of homes at around 10:13 a.m., with the front of the truck blocked by a hedge and police vehicles wedging it in place from behind.
Officers pointed less-than-lethal weapons and handguns at the truck and used bean bags in an attempt to shoot out the windows to see past the heavy tint.
At 10:42 a.m. a female in a pink T-shirt got out of the truck and then got back inside.
Both directions of Coldwater Canyon were closed in the area.
