A 55-year-old man who was fatally shot in East Los Angeles was identified Wednesday.

The shooting was reported at 7:47 p.m. Saturday on the 3900 block of East César Chávez Avenue, near Belvedere Middle School, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Gabriel Miranda, who sustained two gunshot wounds to the head.
