A fire broke out Wednesday in a house in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, but no injuries were reported.

The blaze was reported at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of South Hauser Boulevard, just north of the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Crews went on the attack after arriving to find a two-story, single-family home with smoke billowing from a second-floor window.

Thirty-four firefighters extinguished the blaze in 23 minutes, containing it to the room where it started and keeping flames from spreading to the home’s attic, an LAFD spokeswoman said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately apparent, she said.
