An Ebony Alert was in effect Tuesday in Los Angeles County for an 18-year-old woman last seen in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles.

Ashley Hartley was last seen at approximately 5:45 p.m. Thursday near Virginia Road and Washington Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Monday on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Hartley was described as a 5-foot-tall woman with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt, a pink-and-black bedazzled sweater, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding Hartley’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or abducted.
