ABC describes “The Muppets,” as “a contemporary, documentary-style show” which for the first time will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires.
“This is a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages,” according to ABC. Bill Prady, a co-creator of “The Big Bang Theory,” is among the executive producers of “The Muppets”.
The other new comedy on ABC’s fall schedule is “Dr. Ken,” which stars doctor-turned-comedian Ken Jeong portraying what the network describes as “a brilliant physician with no bedside manner.”
