Taylor Swift, “The Hunger Games” and superheroes are among the big nominees heading into Sunday’s presentation of the Teen Choice Awards, honoring the best of TV, movies, music, social media and sports in the eyes of the teen set.
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Gina Rodriguez and Josh Peck will host the event at USC’s Galen Center, where winners will receive richly adorned surfboards.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1” is up for Choice Movie: Sci- Fi/Fantasy, along with “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Cinderella,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” and “Tomorrowland.”
Jennifer Lawrence is up for an acting award for her role in the film, as are co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. are both up for acting awards for their work in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
