“Beauty and the Beast” won movie of the year and its star Emily Watson took home best actor honors in Sunday evening’s 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium.
This year was the first time the ceremony — previously known as the MTV Movie Awards — recognized television programs as well.
On the television side, The Netflix production “Stranger Things” won the Show of the Year award.
