The Harry Potter Industrial Complex has expanded in Los Angeles, with Jam City hoping to cash in with a mobile game.

It won’t be out until next year, but Pottermore.com is all over it.
“You can rest assured that when it comes to … Hogwarts Mystery, the clever tech bods at Jam City know the wizarding world like the backs of their hands,” the J.K. Rowling site says.
“As Harry Potter fanatics ourselves, we have great respect for the millions of people throughout the world who have followed the Harry Potter stories for more than 20 years,” says Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City — and MySpace co-founder.
“Mystery” is touted as the first mobile game in which players can create their own character and “experience life as a student,” Pottermore says.
“Once you’ve settled into the school, your character can move through the years while doing all the same things Hogwarts students do: taking part in Duelling Club, for example, or going to classes such as Potions and Defence Against the Dark Arts.”
In covering Tuesday’s announcement, Mashable noted the game has a “vague release window of sometime in 2018. It will be available through Google Play and iOS, and you can pre-register for the game through its website.”
