
Actress Betty White, whose show business career has spanned seven decades, will receive a lifetime achievement award from the International Cinematographers Guild, the organization announced Wednesday.
“Betty White is a joy and a national treasure,” ICG national president Steven Poster said. “She brings a smile to the nation’s face and the ICG is honored to celebrate her inspiring accomplishments.”
The organization will honor the 95-year-old actress during its 55th annual Publicists Awards luncheon at the Beverly Hilton on March 2.
White is best known for her television roles on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Golden Girls” and most recently “Hot in Cleveland.” She also hosted “The Betty White Show” in the late 1970s and has made guest appearances on dozens of series.
Her film credits include “The Story of Us,” “Bringing Down the House” and “The Proposal.”
She is a five-time Emmy winner and also has a Grammy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and a SAG Lifetime Achievement Award.
