“Wicked,” “Dune: Part Two” and “Gladiator II” were among the film nominees announced Tuesday for the 61st annual Cinema Audio Society Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in 2024.

Those movies joined “A Complete Unknown” and “Deadpool & Wolverine” as the live-action films receiving nods Tuesday, when nominations in seven categories were announced.

Meanwhile, sound awards for animated movies went to “Inside Out 2,” “Moana 2,” “Mufasa: The Lion King,” “The Wild Robot” and “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.”

On the television side, “Shogun” continued to add to its list of award nominations, picking up a nod in the one-hour television series category for its episode titled “Broken to the First.” It was joined among nominees by episodes of “Fallout,” “Slow Horses,” True Detective: Night Country” and “Yellowstone.”

In the half-hour television series category, episodes from award-season regulars “The Bear,” “Hacks,” “Only Murders in the Building” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” picked up nods, along with an episode of “What We Do in the Shadows.”

The 61st CAS Awards will take place Feb. 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

As announced earlier, sound mixer Tod A. Maitland (“A Complete Unknown,” “West Side Story,’ “Joker”), will be honored with the CAS Career Achievement Award.
