The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Friday to $4.446, its lowest amount since Dec. 26, 2022.
The average price has dropped four consecutive days, decreasing 1.7 cents, including nine-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The decreases follow three consecutive increases totaling six-tenths of a cent.
The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, 9.6 cents lower than one month ago and 51.4 cents below what it was one year ago. It as dropped $2.048 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $4.369, one day after dropping three-tenths of a cent to its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2022. It is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 8.5 cents lower than one month ago and 44.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $2.09 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.063, one day after dropping eight-tenths of a cent. It is a half-cent more than one week ago but 7.1 cents less than one month ago and 18.3 cents lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.953 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
