A former Orange Unified School District teacher’s aide faces charges of having sex with a 15-year-old girl, and authorities said Friday they suspect there may be more victims.

Richard Nolan Green, 28, of Yorba Linda, is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 6 on charges of statutory rape, committing a lewd act on a child and oral copulation of a minor younger than 16.

Green, who faces up to four years and four months in prison if convicted, was released from custody when he posted $100,000 bail on Oct. 27, according to court records.

Green was arrested Oct. 11, and the charges were filed in early November, according to Deputy District Attorney Kristin Bracic. He made his first court appearance on Nov. 10.

In June, Green allegedly started having a sexual relationship with the teen, who he met through family friends, Bracic said. When the girl’s parents learned of the alleged relationship, they called the sheriff’s department, she said.

Green was a teacher’s aide for at-risk students in the school district, Bracic said.

Green’s attorney, Rudy Loewenstein, declined comment.

Investigators asked anyone with information about the case to call Supervising District Attorney Investigator Kelly Core at (714) 347-8794 or sheriff’s investigator Ed Arredondo at (714) 647-7452.
