A man was shot Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a medical marijuana dispensary in Santa Ana, and a search was underway for the assailant.
The shooting occurred about 3:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of East Warner Avenue, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was shot in the upper body, but the wound was not considered life-threatening, Bertagna said. The victim was taken to OC Global Medical Center in Santa Ana.
The shooting occurred outside Patients Premium Collective, which is among the first medical marijuana dispensaries approved by the city, Bertagna said.
