An attempted carjacking Sunday in Anaheim resulted in a SWAT team encircling a residential neighborhood in Fullerton.
Police were looking for possibly armed suspects in the area centered around Cherry at Courtney avenues, a subdivision area three blocks north of Orangethorpe Avenue and five blocks west of Brookhaven Street.
The incident started with an attempted carjacking at about 3:50 a.m. near an industrial complex in the area of Orangethorpe and Lemon Street in Anaheim, said Fullerton police Sgt. Dan Castillo.
The suspects fled the scene and crashed their vehicle in the area of Cherry and Courtney avenues, in Fullerton, where a SWAT team was eventually called out to the location, Castillo said.
Police could not be reached for immediate information.
