
A person suffered a partial limb amputation Thursday when she was struck by a Metrolink train in Orange.
The female, whose age was not immediately available, was reported to have jumped in front of the train about 5:45 p.m. near the Orange Transportation Center at 194 N. Atchison St., according to the MetroNet dispatch service.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately available, a dispatcher supervisor said.
Metrolink announced on Twitter that San Bernardino-bound train 812 on the Orange County-Inland Empire Line was stopped on the tracks after striking the pedestrian.
