A man, possibly in his 40s, was killed Sunday when his 1994 Buick Regal crashed into a retaining wall in Fullerton.
Officers were dispatched to the crash in the area of Euclid Street and Rosecrans Avenue a little after 5 a.m., said Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus.
The Buick was going about 50 miles per hour eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue approaching the intersection of Euclid Street where the motorist made no attempt to slow down for the red light, Radus said.
Instead, the car went through the signal and into the retaining wall just east of the intersection.
The driver was the only person in the car, and was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
The Fullerton Police Department’s Traffic Bureau asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (714) 738-5313.
