The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 19th consecutive day Saturday and the 28th time in the last 29 days, falling 1.3 cents to $5.084.

The average price has decreased 28.8 cents over the past 29 days, including 1.5 cents Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.9 cents less than one week ago and 28.6 cents less than one month ago, but 21.1 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.41 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Orange County average price dropped under $5 a gallon for the first time since March 25, decreasing 1.3 cents to $4.992. It has decreased 29 times in the last 30 days, falling 30.5 cents, including 1.5 cents Friday.

The Orange County average price is 9.7 cents less than one week ago and 30.5 cents less than one month ago, but 15.3 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.467 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped 1 cent to $3.599. It is six-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 5.9 cents lower than one month ago, and 2.5 cents more than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.417 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
