The four-day streak of decreases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County totaling 1.5 cents ended Tuesday when it was unchanged, remaining at $6.229.
The average price is 2.2 cents more than one week ago, 23.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.421 above what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has risen $1.535 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.5 cents of the record $6.494 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The streak of decreases followed a 15-day streak of increases totaling 32.4 cents.
The five-day streak of decreases to the Orange County totaling 3 cents ended with a half-cent increase to $6.192. It is 1 cent more than one week ago, 29.1 cents higher than one month ago and $1.444 above what it was one year ago
The average price has risen $1.556 since the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, moving within 26.7 cents of the record $6.494 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the fifth consecutive day following a 16-day streak of increases totaling 54.8 cents, decreasing 1.6 cents to $4.504. It has dropped 5.4 cents over the past five days, including two-tenths of a cent Monday.
The national average price is 2.1 cents more than one week ago, 37.9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.367 above what it was one year ago. The average price has risen $1.522 since the attack on Iran, moving within 51.2 cents of the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
