Forecasters are predicting warming temperatures in Riverside County this week.
Sunday’s high reached 85 in the downtown Riverside area and 83 in the Temecula Valley and Coachella Valley, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures were expected to increase slightly through the early part of the week. The downtown Riverside area was expected to reach 91 Wednesday, while the Temecula Valley was predicted to reach 89 and the Coachella Valley 97.
Forecasters said temperatures will begin dropping again Thursday, reaching 81 in the Riverside metropolitan area by Friday, 80 in the Temecula Valley and 94 in the Coachella Valley.
Palm Springs reached a high of 84 on Sunday, and was predicted to rise to 99 by Wednesday, forecasters said.
Very dry conditions were expected into at least the middle of the week, according to the NWS.
Overnight lows throughout the week were expected to drop to the 50s in the western part of the county, while the Coachella Valley was expected to drop to the 60s.
By next Saturday, temperatures were expected to reach 85 in the Riverside metropolitan area, 83 in Temecula Valley and the mid-90s in Coachella and Palm Springs, according to the NWS.
