Maybe the Los Angeles Dodgers need help from the new Los Angeles Rams to get back to first place.

Rams stars will be at Dodger Stadium Monday night, but they won’t be in the actual game.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, the first player selected in April’s NFL draft, will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Goff will be joined by the five other players the Rams chosen in the 2016 draft — receivers Pharoh Cooper and Michael Thomas, linebacker Josh Forrest and tight ends Temarrick Hemingway and Tyler Higbee.

Also as part of the Dodgers’ continuing efforts to keep interest in the team at a fever pitch, a special loaded hot dog will be available throughout the Dodgers’ three-game series against the Colorado Rockies that begins Monday night.

The Colorado Chile Verde Dog is a quarter-pound all-beef hot dog topped with pork chile verde and grilled corn salsa. It will be available at the Extreme Loaded Dog concession locations on the field, loge and reserve levels.

The Military Hero of the Game will be U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Augie Ortman of Baldwin Park, an explosive ordnance disposal instructor at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida who served two deployments in Afghanistan.

Ortman’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal with Valor with two oak leaf clusters and the Army Combat Action Badge.

The national anthem will be sung by Karla Mosely, who portrays Maya Avant, the first transgender character to be featured as a series regular on American daytime television, on the CBS daytime drama “The Bold and The Beautiful.”

In addition to the Rams first pitch, another “first pitch” will be thrown by Uri Herscher, the founder, president and CEO of the Skirball Cultural Center. The exhibit “Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming American,” will be on display at the center through Oct. 30.

The first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a Dodgers license plate frame.

Auto gates will open at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates at 5:10 p.m. The Dodgers will take batting practice from 4:20-5:20 p.m. and the Rockies from 5:25-6:20 p.m. Pregame ceremonies, including the national anthem and ceremonial first pitch, will begin at 6:57 p.m., with the game set to start at 7:10 p.m.
