
As the Golden State Warriors are on the brink of victory in this year’s NBA finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers are already looking forward to next season.
The Los Angeles Lakers will open preseason play Sept. 30 at Honda Center against the Minnesota Timberwolves and play two home preseason games at Staples Center.
The Lakers’ reduced six-game preseason schedule also includes a third game at Staples Center, Oct. 13 against the Los Angeles Clippers when they will be the road team. The Lakers home preseason games at Staples Center will be played Oct. 2 against the Denver Nuggets and Oct. 10 against the Utah Jazz.
The Lakers’ preseason schedule also includes an Oct. 4 game at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario against Denver and an Oct. 8 game in Las Vegas against the Sacramento Kings.
Tickets for the games in Anaheim, Ontario and Las Vegas will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday online at ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the preseason games at Staples Center will be available at a later date.
The preseason schedule was reduced from eight games under terms of the league’s new collective bargaining agreement that will take effect July 1.
