Two suspects who allegedly robbed a person at gunpoint in Perris were back on the streets Sunday after posting bail.

The robbery happened about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday at Dale Street and North Redlands Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators said the victim was riding a four-wheeled off-road vehicle when he was approached by four people who had jumped out of a white cargo van.

The suspects allegedly held the victim at gun point and took his vehicle and cell phone, sheriff’s officials said.

On Wednesday, authorities tracked the victim’s cell phone to a residence in the 25000 block of Sierra Bravo Court in Moreno Valley. Deputies staked out the home and eventually pulled over a white van that matched the description of the suspect vehicle after it left the location, according to the sheriff’s department.

The driver of the van, Saul Garcia, 20, was arrested and identified as the suspected gunman in the robbery, authorities said.

A second suspect, Alizee Hernandez, 19, was arrested on Friday at an apartment in the 300 block of West Eighth Street, where investigators allegedly found evidence linked to the robbery.

Sheriff’s officials said both suspects admitted to taking part in the robbery during interrogations.

Garcia and Hernandez were jailed on suspicion of second degree robbery and carjacking but have since been released after they each posted $60,000 bail.

Authorities said two other suspects connected to the robbery remained at large.
