Two people were arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI enforcement operation in Canyon Lake, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Lake Elsinore station conducted the operation from 6 p.m. until midnight Saturday, focused on drivers suspected of being under the influence and overall traffic safety.
According to the sheriff’s department, the results of the operation included:
— 15 citations for unlicensed/suspended drivers, speeding, cell phones and golf cart operation restrictions;
— 2 arrests for driving under the influence;
— 3 towed vehicles.
— 1 misdemeanor arrest warrant served, and;
— 1 felony arrest for an outstanding warrant.
